Burra Broadcaster

''The Burra Broadcaster'' is a print and online newspaper published in the town of Burra, South Australia, covering news and community events taking place in the Regional Council of Goyder area. The ''Broady'' has been in business since August 2013, taking over from the ''Mid North Broadcaster'' after that publications closure earlier in June 2013.
==History==
''The Burra Broadcaster'' was originally the ''Burra Record'', a newspaper covering Burra and the mid-north eastern area of South Australia and was purchased in 1878 by Sir Frederick Holder, the nineteenth Premier of South Australia.
It has previously been titled ''The Burra News'', ''The Northern Mail'' and ''The Record''.
''The Burra Record'' continued until March 1977 when, along with the ''Orroroo Enterprise'', the newspaper was taken over by the ''Port Pirie Recorder'' to become the R''eview-Times-Record''. At the time of its demise, the ''Burra Record'' was run by Messrs RE and AJ Angel. The Burra Community School began printing the ''Burra Community Newsletter'' in the 1980s before Terry Wilson established ''The Burra Broadcaster'' newspaper and printing business in Burra.
The Taylor Group purchased the newspaper in 2005, when it became the ''Mid North Broadcaster'' comprising the ''Burra Broadcaster'', ''Eudunda Observer'' and ''Peterborough Times''.
The Mid North Broadcaster folded in June 2013 and was resurrected as an online and print newspaper by Michelle Osborn, previously a reporter for the ''Mid North Broadcaster''.
